Coordinating Minister For Human Development And Culture Calls COVID-19 A Smart Virus

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy said the current COVID-19 pandemic was caused by an intelligent virus.

"I say that this is a smart virus, a smart virus. A smart virus. This is different from the behavior of its similar ancestors," said Muhadjir when opening the National Coordination Meeting for the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) online, Wednesday, June 30.

He said, the virus that is now a pandemic actually has similarities with the virus that brought the plague and attacked the world before this. However, COVID-19 is different because it is unpredictable and can mutate many times.

"Unpredictable how this COVID actually behaves and how it ends," said Muhadjir.

According to him, many experts or epidemiologists have made predictions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this whole scenario is refuted because this virus is constantly changing and unpredictable.

"There are so many epidemiologists who make various scenarios, protection, it turns out that they don't, as far as I have read none of them are correct. Of course we have to be very careful that there are very intelligent variants," he said.

Muhadjir said COVID-19 was an invisible force. This is in accordance with religious teachings.

"I think yes, all religions, conveying the epidemic event is usually described as the presence of invisible troops," he said.

"And when God spreads invisible troops this has a purpose, a meaning behind it and hopefully we can take the meaning or wisdom behind this, what has happened so far," concluded Muhadjir.
