JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reviewed the implementation of vaccinations in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. On that occasion, he gave a cream-colored jacket that he had used to a young man who was waiting in line for the COVID-19 vaccine.

The incident was monitored from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube. At that time, Jokowi, wearing a white shirt combined with a beige jacket, walked around the tent where the COVID-19 vaccination was taking place.

Suddenly he stopped and called a young man then took off the jacket he was wearing. As soon as the young man stepped forward, Jokowi immediately put on the jacket he was wearing.

After the jacket was used, the young man then wanted to shake hands with Jokowi. However, Jokowi refused by clasping his hands in front of his chest.

As for the activity, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta was accompanied by a number of local officials as well as TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and General Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) Rosan Roeslani.

After reviewing the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccination, President Jokowi held a teleconference to monitor the implementation of vaccination in other places, including in Baubau City.

On that occasion, Jokowi appreciated the administration of vaccines in the city which ran from morning to night.

"Yes, it's good morning and night. Because we must continue to pursue the target for July of 1 million per day and in August of 2 million per day," Jokowi said in a teleconference broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat YouTube, Wednesday, June 30.

He asked all regencies and cities to provide support by carrying out as many COVID-19 vaccinations as possible. So that the target that has been set can be exceeded.

"So all regencies must provide support in as many numbers as possible so that we can exceed the target because we really have to pursue the numbers that we have calculated," he said.
