Regrets The Lack Of PPKM Command Posts In West Java, Central Java, And East Java, COVID-19 Task Force: Intolerable

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force, Wiku Adisasmito, regrets the low formation of micro PPKM pokso at the village or sub-district level in three provinces.

These three provinces are West Java, Central Java, and East Java. Wiku said the number of micro PPKM posts built in these three provinces was still below 60 percent.

"West Java, Central Java and East Java are provinces with low coverage of the formation of posts. This slow development of the formation of posts cannot be tolerated anymore, considering that the pandemic requires fast handling and posts are the infrastructure needed for Micro PPKM to run effectively," said Wiku in his statement, Tuesday, June 29.

In detail, PPKM posts in West Java are 54.12 percent, Central Java 56.64 percent, and East Java 46.44 percent. The weekly average added no more than 1 percent in the last 8 weeks.

In fact, these three provinces are included in the five provinces that contribute the most to the addition of the number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, two other provinces, namely DKI Jakarta and DI Yogyakarta, are already quite high. The establishment of a micro PPKM post in DKI has reached 100 percent over the last eight weeks.

Meanwhile, DI Yogyakarta has built 89.1 percent of micro PPKM posts. However, the addition of postal posts has tended to stagnate for the past 8 weeks, with an average weekly addition of posts of no more than 1 percent.

"In fact, DIY should be able to pursue the establishment of command posts in 10.49 percent of urban villages that have not done so," said Wiku.

What needs to be paid attention to, said Wiku, is controlling this pandemic with time. The faster and more precise the handling, the more the situation will be under control.

"It is requested that all provinces return to being active in establishing command posts in sub-districts that do not yet have posts so that the implementation of micro PPKM can run effectively," he concluded.
