Laser Shot At KPK, Emrus Alludes To Unqualified Employees TWK: Where Is The Evidence That They Are Honest?

JAKARTA - Greenpeace Indonesia fired a laser with various writings at the KPK building. However, this method is actually considered as an attempt to manipulate or lead the public on certain issues.

Political communication expert Emrus Sihombing assessed, the author of the article "Dare to Be Honest and Fire!" has a relationship with a number of KPK employees who did not pass the national insight test (TWK) in the transfer of the status of a KPK employee to a State Civil Apparatus (ASN).

He also regretted that what Greenpeace displayed was limited to slogans without any explanation of what was conveyed. In fact, he said, it seems that there is a sway of public opinion that honest people in the KPK will be fired.

"It's as if someone honest was fired. The question is, were they really fired?” said Emrus in a short message received by VOI, Tuesday, June 29.

The lecturer from Pelita Harapan University (UPH), said the KPK had just carried out the transfer of employee status to ASN as ordered by the new KPK Law. As a result, of the thousands of employees who took part, less than 6 percent failed to pass.

Of the 75 people who failed to pass, said Emrus, the KPK leadership succeeded in lobbying the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) as the organizer of the assessment, so 24 people were still potentially accepted.

"So it's clear, no one was fired in the ASN test," said Emrus.

Emrus also questioned the dichotomy of honest and dishonest. Are, he said, all those who did not pass the TWK were honest people. Meanwhile, thousands of KPK employees who escaped were dishonest.

The problem, continued Emrus, was that the KPK employees did not qualify, who until now were reluctant to file a lawsuit with the State Administrative Court (PTUN). In fact, if the employees who did not qualify felt that they were right, then they should have brought this matter to the court.

Moreover, he continued, they are law enforcers who have been labeled "KPK employees" by a number of groups.

“Where is the proof that they are honest? If they feel honest, then fight in court. If this (laser shooting, ed) actually makes people wonder, what is the motive of their goal, "explained Emrus

It is known that the Red and White building of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Jalan Kuningan Persada, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, was shot by lasers on Monday, June 28, night.

The laser shot was written in the form of criticism of the KPK by the civil society group #CleanIndonesia from Greenpeace Indonesia.

Responding to this, Acting KPK Spokesperson Ali Fikri appreciated all parties who have always supported the eradication of corruption in Indonesia.

"Because we are well aware that every part of society has its own role to play in supporting the eradication of corruption," said Ali in a written statement, Tuesday, June 29.

The KPK, said Ali, never gets tired of continuing to invite the public through anti-corruption jargons, including "Dare to be Honest is Great".
