Ministry Of Home Affairs: Appointment Of Regional Secretary As Acting Governor Lukas Enembe Accelerates Distribution Of Physical DAK 2021

JAKARTA - The Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Benni Irwan, said that the presence of the Acting Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, was aimed at accelerating the distribution of physical special allocation funds (DAK) in 2021.

The DAK was delayed due to a number of documents that the Papuan Provincial Government had not yet been able to complete. As is known, Papua Governor Lukas Enembe is currently being treated to restore his health condition.

While the seat of deputy governor is still vacant, after the death of Klemen Tinal last month. The Ministry of Home Affairs then appointed the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Papua Province Dance Yulian Flassy as Acting Governor of Papua.

Benni said that the implementation of the daily tasks of regional heads by regional secretaries as regulated in Article 65 of Law Number 23 of 2014 is an effort to accelerate the distribution of physical 2021 special allocation funds (DAK).

“So, the regional government, in this case, is pushing for acceleration to fulfill the distribution requirements documents. Now, this is what we encourage, with the same spirit between the central government and local governments," said Benni as quoted from Antara, Monday, June 28.

He said that the Central Government and the Papuan Regional Government both have the spirit to continue development in the Papua Province. The same applies to the use of special physical allocation funds, which are very large in number and can be utilized for the welfare of the community.

"It is hoped that the distribution of physical DAK can be immediately utilized for the needs of the community in all regions in Papua Province," he said.

The 2021 physical DAK is allocated in 7 development areas, such as the development of education, health, agriculture, the environment, road construction, to irrigation.
