Sad News From Agam, Residents Who Died Due To COVID-19 Become 88 People

JAKARTA - The Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in Agam Regency, West Sumatra, recorded an increase of 57 residents who were positively infected with COVID-19 on Friday, June 25.

"With the addition of 57 positive people, the number of residents who are still confirmed positive is 353," said the Head of the Agam COVID-19 Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling, Martias Wanto in Lubukbasung, as reported by Antara, Friday, June 25.

He said the 353 positive patients were hospitalized and 77 people were self-isolating and 276 people were self-isolating.

On Friday, he added, one person died and the total death toll rose to 88 people.

Meanwhile, 27 patients had recovered on Friday, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 3,283.

"The total number of Agam residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 so far is 3,724 people," he said.

To minimize COVID-19 cases, he added, the Agam COVID-19 Task Force Team routinely conducts judicial operations at traditional markets and crowd centers.

The operation is routinely held every day by deploying members of the Satpol PP, BPBD, Agam Police, Bukittinggi Police, Kodim 0304 Agam, and others.

"For residents who do not wear masks, they will be immediately netted and given sanctions," he said.

Martias appealed to residents to implement health protocols by maintaining distance, washing hands, wearing masks, reducing mobility, and others.
