The House Of Representatives Experiences Significant Addition Of COVID-19 Cases, 105 People In Total Are Exposed

JAKARTA - The House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) has temporarily reduced the capacity to attend meetings in commissions and council equipment (AKD) by up to 25 percent. After an increase in positive cases of COVID-19 in the parliament.

Reportedly, as many as 17 members of the Indonesian House of Representatives tested positive for COVID-19. And a number of experts in the DPR RI were also infected.

The Secretary-General of the DPR RI Indra Iskandar said his party detected an increase in the number of council members who were exposed to COVID-19 from the results of tracing and testing carried out over the past few days.

"From our tracing yesterday and today, there are significant additions that have been identified as positive", said Indra Iskandar, Wednesday, June 23.

Indra said that so far there are a total of 105 people in the DPR who have been infected with COVID-19.

"There are 17 members. The rest are spread among experts, cleaning services, Pamdal staff, and Civil Servants (ASN). In total, there are 105 people", he explained.
