Head Of IDI Bandarlampung Asks Members Not To Post Eating In Cafes Or Walks That Can Make Residents Join In

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Bandarlampung Branch asked its members not to make posts on social media that are provocative and make people disobey health protocols.

"I am always strict with IDI management, don't 'post' eat or walk in cafes and other crowded places that can provoke people to join in, even though we are currently still in a state of the COVID-19 pandemic," said the Head of IDI Bandarlampung Branch. dr Aditya M Biomed quoted by Antara, Friday, June 18.

According to him, indeed many people are already in a high level of boredom and saturation with the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, uploading activities in crowded places such as cafes and others on social media is not ethical because it can be imitated by the community.

"This is at the level of a doctor if people 'post' to places like that, people give an example of how. How come it seems that it is very difficult to obey the health protocols, things like this need to be realized by all of us," he said discussing the issue of compliance with health protocols (prokes) ).

In addition, Aditya also regrets that there are some people who have the heart to provoke the public through uploads on social media as if the new type of corona virus is not dangerous and the COVID-19 vaccine is not needed.

"If we look at social media, there are many people who upload everywhere without wearing masks, crowding and others, this is their justification for the controversy," he said.

According to him, one of the people responsible for the community's belief regarding the sense of 'safety' even though the actual condition is a pandemic, one of them is through uploads on social media.

"This is dangerous because their uploads call this virus a conspiracy and now it's okay and so on, so that it makes people more confident. Moreover, some of the uploaders are not ordinary people, this is really unfortunate," said Aditya.
