North Nias Regional Secretary Arrested During Drug Party At Karaoke Place Deactivated By Regent

MEDAN - The Regent of North Nias, Amizaro Waruwu temporarily disabled Yafeti Nazara from the position of Regional Secretary (Sekda). The regional secretary was arrested during a drug party with women at a Medan karaoke place.

"Starting today, the temporary suspension will be carried out. The daily executive is Pak Polo Harefa from the expert staff," said Amizaro when confirmed, Friday, June 18.

Amizaro explained that the deactivation was carried out because Yafeti was arrested by the Medan Police while having a drug party at an entertainment venue in Medan some time ago.

"This means that with this latest incident, our media reports already know that the Secretary of State was caught in a nightclub and indeed he used drugs, as was the case in a press conference from the Medan Police Chief," said Amizaro.

The North Nias Regional Secretary was arrested during a drug party at a nightclub on Jalan Adam Malik, Medan City, Sunday, June 13.

Medan Police Chief Kombes Riko Sunarko said the arrests were made at around 01.00 WIB. Initially the police received information that karaoke places were still open.

Yafeti, said Riko, was arrested while in room 202. There she was with her colleagues, which consisted of 3 men and 3 women.

"Until now we are investigating (its involvement). The urine result is positive (drugs)," said Riko.

When he was arrested, said Riko, evidence of drugs was also secured. "There is one remaining ecstasy," said Riko.

However, regarding YN's status, Riko has not disclosed it. There has been no further information from the police regarding the legal process of this case.
