KPK Reminds ICW And Other Parties Not To Convey False Allegations Regarding TWK Results

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) and other parties not to make accusations about the information on the results of the National Insight Test (TWK).

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, asked all parties, including ICW, to understand the substance before commenting.

"KPK hopes that certain parties first fully understand the substance so as not to harm the public by conveying false accusations and assumptions in the public sphere," Ali told reporters, Thursday, June 17.

He said there was indeed a TWK result file that the KPK received from the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) on April 27. However, the file is only one of the eight points requested by KPK employees.

"There are at least eight points of information and data requested by the applicants through the KPK PPID regarding the implementation of the TWK. One of them is regarding the results of the TWK," he said.

Moreover, the data provided by BKN to the KPK is collective. While the data requested by the applicant is the personal data of each applicant, namely the KPK employees who are declared not to have passed the TWK.

Thus, the KPK must coordinate with BKN in order to fulfill the request. "Moreover, information and data regarding the implementation of TWK are not fully under the control of the KPK," he stressed.

Furthermore, the anti-corruption commission appreciates criticism from other parties. Ali said, this is an encouragement to continue working to eradicate corruption.

"Constructive input and criticism for the KPK is certainly an encouragement to continue to work to be even better based on the provisions of the applicable regulations," said Ali.

As previously reported, ICW asked the KPK not to provide false information or hoaxes related to the results of the TWK as a condition for transferring its employee status.

This was conveyed by him in response to the statement of Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri who said his party would coordinate with the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) to request the results of the TWK.

"ICW reminds the Acting KPK Spokesperson not to provide hoax information related to the results of the National Insight Test (TWK)," said Kurnia in a written statement to reporters, Wednesday, June 16.

This statement regarding the submission of TWK results to the KPK from BKN is based on an upload on the KemenPANRB website. In the upload, it was stated that the Head of BKN Bima Haria Wibisana had submitted the results of the TWK to the KPK, represented by the Secretary General of the KPK, Cahya H. Harefa on April 27.

Back to Kurnia, with the upload, it is odd when the anti-corruption commission has to coordinate with BKN to get TWK results. This dishonesty is also considered to strengthen the public's suspicion that the employee status transfer test is just a trick.

"KPK's dishonesty in providing TWK results to employees further strengthens the public's suspicion that the test is just a trick to get rid of KPK employees," he said.
