Jakarta COVID-19 Patient BOR Almost Full, 25 Percent Filled By Residents Outside Jakarta

JAKARTA - Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) for COVID patients in DKI Jakarta is almost full following the recent spike in cases.

Data submitted by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government on the corona.jakarta.go.id page, Tuesday, June 25, stated that the bed occupancy rate of all COVID-19 referral hospitals in Jakarta was divided into six types.

Starting from negative pressure ICU, non-negative pressure ICU, isolation room, PICU/NICU/Perina specifically for COVID-19, OK for COVID-19, and HD for COVID-19.

The DKI Jakarta Health Office previously said that the availability of isolation beds in Jakarta had reached 78 percent. DKI only has 22 percent of the available bed capacity remaining.

"Our BOR also increased significantly as of June 14, the isolation bed capacity of 7,341 was filled by 5,752 or has touched 78 percent in just two weeks and the ICU of 1,086 filled 773 or 71 percent," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Widyastuti.

Widyastuti said that 25 percent of the isolation beds were filled by residents outside DKI Jakarta.

He said there must be anticipatory steps to reduce the number of COVID patients. DKI Jakarta Province has experienced a very significant increase in daily Corona cases, up to 302 percent in recent days. This increase in Corona is thought to be the impact of the 2021 Eid holiday cluster.

The following is the BOR of each COVID-19 referral hospital in DKI Jakarta

Negative Pressure ICU

With Ventilator: 25 beds are available from 227 mattresses so that the occupancy is 202 beds.

No Ventilator: 26 beds out of 87 mattresses are available, so 61 beds are occupied.

ICU Without Negative Pressure

With Ventilator: available 30 beds out of 102 mattresses so that 72 beds are occupied.

No Ventilator: 10 beds out of 47 mattresses are available, so 37 beds are occupied.

Isolation Room

Negative Pressure Insulation: 306 beds out of 1,361 mattresses are available so that 1,055 beds are occupied.

Insulation Without Negative Pressure: there are 403 beds out of 1,869 mattresses so that the occupied is 1,466 beds.

PICU/NICU/Perina specifically for COVID-19

PICU COVID-19: available 8 beds out of 21 mattresses, so 13 beds are occupied.

NICU COVID-19: 11 beds available from 27 mattresses, so 16 beds are occupied.

Perina: there are 71 beds out of 111 mattresses, so 40 beds are occupied.

OK for COVID-19

With Ventilator: 1 bed out of 19 mattresses is available, so 18 beds are occupied.

COVID-19 Special HD

With Ventilator: 1 bed out of 24 mattresses is available, so 23 beds are occupied.
