MAKASSAR - The Makassar City Government COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas) team again brought tens of workers for the 31 Sudirman Suites Apartment construction project after the results of the PCR swab testing were confirmed positive.

"So far there have been 97 positive people. However, 29 people have tested negative. Of the number of workers who were confirmed positive, he said, the Covid Hunter Task Force Team had been transferred from the workers' mess on Jalan Batu Putih to a number of hospitals and other places.

He said as many as 31 workers were transferred to the Pelamonia Hospital, 31 people to the Makassar Lung Hall, Bhayangkara Hospital and Siloam Hospital each. The rest are self-isolating in a number of places.

The transfer of workers who were positive for the results of PCR testing by the Makkasau Health Center COVID-19 Hunter Task Force, he said, was to break the chain of Corona spread for other workers, including the surrounding community in the mess and project location.

"The process of transferring these workers by the Ujungpandang Covid Hunter Team is still following the Health Protocol procedures, wearing complete PPE including protective clothing (Hazmat)," he said.

Regarding the management's policy of asking the positive workers to stay in the mess to undergo self-isolation, the COVID-19 Task Force was firmly rejected, because it is very prone to spread.

"It has been conveyed earlier from the Puskesmas, for those who are positive, we don't want to know, they have to be taken and treated. We had asked not to be taken. But they still had to be taken because positive and negative had to be separated," he emphasized

Regarding the fate of other workers, the Covid Hunter Task Force of the Makkasau Health Center will again carry out further testing two weeks after the first testing, because this has become the attention of the city government.

The HRD coordinator for the project management of the 31 Sudirman Suites Apartment, Sabda Jatih, confirmed that dozens of his positive workers had been transferred from the mess to a number of hospitals and several places for self-isolation.

"For handling, from the company's internal side, before the Covid Hunter team traced it, we had the initiative at that time for a rapid antigen test first. In the antigen test the results were quite significant. Then the government's intention to investigate by the Covid-19 Task Force emerged," he said.

Previously, the Covid Hunter task force team from the Makkasau Health Center, Ujungpandang District had carried out a PCR swab test for 243 workers of the 31 Sudirman Suites Apartment construction project on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Makassar.

The testing followed the discovery of dozens of workers who were found to be from Central Java positive, from the results of an antigen test some time ago, so that the Makassar City Government Covid-19 Task Force immediately followed up, including temporarily stopping the local apartment construction process carried out by PT Totalindo Construction Building.
