Police Arrest 5 People In Case Of Attack On NGO Office In Karawang

KARAWANG - The Karawang District Police have arrested five people in connection with the attack on an NGO office on Jalan Surotokunto Karawang, West Java.

"The attack on the office of one of the NGOs occurred on Sunday (13/6) night and we immediately took action," said Karawang Police Chief AKBP Rama Samtama Putra, quoted by Antara, Monday, June 14.

He said a number of people had been questioned regarding the attack on the office of one of the NGO's offices.

"We have examined more than 10 witnesses, and now we have arrested five people," continued AKBP Rama.

The police chief said that his party immediately acted quickly in handling the case. After the incident on Sunday, June 13 evening, his party immediately formed three teams to pursue the perpetrators of the attack.

"We immediately carried out a sweep of the gang of perpetrators, which is indeed quite disturbing. We have also conducted a crime scene," said AKBP Rama.

According to the police chief, the attack on the NGO office was a series of commotions that had occurred earlier. The attack was carried out by a group of motorcyclists.
