Data Desil Problematic, DKI DPRD Requests Accelerated Blocking Mechanism so that Residents are Not Obstructed from Receiving Assistance

JAKARTA - The issue of desil data has once again become the spotlight of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Commission E assessed that the slow update of socio-economic data made a number of community service programs, ranging from social assistance to education, stalled.

Chairman of the E Commission of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, M. Subki, said that the problem of desil is one of the main problems that must be immediately resolved by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. According to him, the inaccuracy and delay in changing data make it difficult for the public when their economic status is not recorded according to the actual condition.

"The most highlighted is certainly the problem of desil, because this is related to the poor, yes. Many affairs whose data are stuck in desil. Education, social, including in it bansos, are hampered in desil," Subki told reporters, Sunday, February 16.

Currently, social and economic data of the community refer to the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN) which is managed in a national system. This change makes local governments no longer use independent data, even though the characteristics of the Jakarta community are considered different from other regions.

Subki said the process of changing data was slower because the authority to manage data was not entirely at the provincial level.

"So it took a long time to go up, it took a long time to go down. So the change in the data of the decile that is the result of the public's objection is also considered very slow," said Subki.

Therefore, Subki asked the DKI Provincial Government to immediately finalize the desil data. He also encouraged the existence of a manual appeal submission channel so that residents are not only dependent on the data change process through an online system which is considered to take a long time.

"So we ask that the problem of this desil be fixed immediately so that the public does not ask questions and the manual process is also prepared. If everything goes through Kemensos.go.id, it takes a long time to change. So a kind of manual process is provided so that the public can process the objection quickly," he said.

According to Subki, the unification of national data is indeed needed so that the distribution of government programs has the same standards. However, the social and economic conditions of Jakarta need to be considered in the data collection process.

"Yesterday we had our own data, but it had to be merged into national data, because the DTSN is already a single national social and economic data. We finally can't have our own data. In fact, sorry, Jakarta's condition is different from other areas. It could be that Jakarta's standard is different from other standards," he explained.

Regarding this issue, the E Commission of the DKI Jakarta DPRD proposed the formation of a special committee (Pansus) desil. This step is considered necessary to encourage improvements in the data collection system so that it can respond faster to the conditions of residents.

Subki emphasized that data accuracy is the key to ensuring that assistance programs and social services are not targeted. He asked that the results of the national data collection truly reflect the economic conditions of the community in the field.

"So we also ask for the results of the national census data on this economic issue to be really targeted," concluded Subki.
