INDRAGIRI HILIR - The Riau Police's Precision Red and White Expedition has again reached the coastal area. This time, the expedition visited Kuala Selat Village, Kateman District, Indragiri Hilir Regency (Inhil), Saturday, August 15, with a humanitarian mission and environmental restoration in the affected abrasion area.
The activity was attended by Minister of Environment Jumhur Hidayat, Minister of Environment and Forestry/TPPO Veronica Tan, Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan, Regent of Indragiri Hilir Herman, Founder of Tumbuh Institute Rocky Gerung, Sociologist Robertus Robet, and a number of other officials and figures. The Minister of Environment said that the environmental recovery in Kuala Selat was in line with the spirit of the Precision Red and White Expedition, which was also encouraged by the National Police Chief.

According to him, the program will also create green jobs for the community. Recovery does not stop at planting, but includes nursery to maintenance of mangroves for three years.
"So it's not just planting and then leaving. Starting from nurseries, planting to maintenance, it is budgeted, so that the community can get honor for maintenance for three years," he said.
He emphasized that the program was also a follow-up to the Precision Red and White Expedition which was carried out by the Riau Police Chief in Indragiri Hilir Regency.
