Jabodetabek Weather Wednesday, August 12, Bekasi Hot 34 Degrees, Bogor Cool 22 Degrees

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) regions on Wednesday, August 12 will be dominated by sunny to cloudy conditions.

The air temperature is expected to be in the range of 22-34 degrees Celsius, with Bogor being a relatively cooler area, while Jakarta and Bekasi have the potential to experience higher temperatures during the day.

BMKG also said that the dry condition would continue in the period of 11-17 August 2026, with most of Indonesia experiencing low rainfall.

In the DKI Jakarta area, the weather is predicted to be cloudy in the morning to noon. Cloud cover is potentially increasing in the afternoon to evening. The air temperature is expected to range from 25-34 degrees Celsius with a humidity of around 45-85 percent. South Jakarta and East Jakarta have the potential to become the region with the highest temperature.

Meanwhile, the Bogor area is predicted to have a temperature of around 22-31 degrees Celsius. Sunny to cloudy weather is predicted to dominate, although local cloud growth can still occur in the afternoon and evening. This condition makes Bogor and the Puncak area a relatively cooler area compared to other Jabodetabek areas.

In Depok, the weather is predicted to be sunny with cloudy skies with an air temperature ranging from 24-33 degrees Celsius. Similar conditions are expected to occur in Tangerang with a temperature of around 24-33 degrees Celsius.

Bekasi has the potential to become one of the hottest areas in Jabodetabek with a maximum temperature of around 34 degrees Celsius during the day. People who are active outdoors are urged to pay attention to their body condition and avoid excessive exposure to the sun.

BMKG reminds the public to maintain adequate body fluids and use protection from exposure to the sun, especially when doing activities during the day. The increasingly dry drought conditions also need to be watched out for because it can increase the risk of meteorological drought and forest and land fires.

In general, the weather in Jabodetabek on Wednesday is expected to be quite conducive for community activities. However, residents are still advised to monitor weather forecast information and BMKG early warnings because atmospheric conditions can change at any time.
