JAKARTA - The National Research and Innovation Agency or BRIN brought a number of research to answer major national issues to the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Thursday, August 6. The issue is not small. Starting from garbage, giant sea wall, water, food, to energy.

BRIN Head Arif Satria said BRIN researchers were invited to have a direct dialogue with President Prabowo Subianto. They will also receive guidance on innovations that can be used to solve various national problems.

"Several times we have presented BRIN findings that can be used to solve various national problems. The problem of garbage, the problem of giant sea walls, water problems, food problems, and other problems," said Arif at the Presidential Palace Complex.

According to Arif, BRIN has previously attended several limited meetings with the President, both in Hambalang and at the Palace. From the meeting, BRIN was then asked to explain the innovation more fully.

BRIN is also asked to display research products that have been produced and those that are still in the completion phase.

Arif said that some products have not entered the market, but have great prospects. One of them is the Absorbed Natural Gas or ANG technology, which is said to be part of the energy change in Indonesia.

"There are indeed potential products that have not been able to enter the market, but this has good prospects," said Arif.

BRIN brought about 12 research clusters to the Palace. The number of products that have been curated has reached more than 150, even approaching 200 products.

The cluster includes food, energy, support for fishing villages, Free Nutritious Meals or MBG, space, aviation, nuclear, rare earth metals, housing, transportation, and health.

According to Arif, not all of BRIN's innovation products can be brought to the Palace. Some products are spread across various regions. Some of them are large in size so that it is not possible to display them directly.

President Prabowo is scheduled to tour the innovation and meet directly with the researchers.

Arif said BRIN was still waiting for the President's instructions after the presentation. However, he mentioned one message from the President that researchers have always remembered.

"We remember very well the message from the President that mastering technology is the dignity of the nation," said Arif.

According to Arif, this message makes researchers more motivated to produce innovations that can be used for the public interest and the national economy.

"The President has a great commitment that research and innovation will be the foundation for the progress of the Indonesian economy," said Arif.
