JAKARTA - The scramble for invitations to the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, was immediately stormed by the public.

On the first day of the war ticket opening, Wednesday, August 5, 2026, as many as 128,331 people were recorded to have registered. They come from 36 provinces in Indonesia and 14 countries.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said public enthusiasm was very high. Applicants not only come from within the country, but also from abroad.

"Alhamdulillah, the enthusiasm of the community is extraordinary. On the first day yesterday, 128,331 people participated in the war ticket, which was spread across 36 provinces, there were even participants from abroad," said Prasetyo in a written statement received on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Prasetyo said participants from abroad included those from the United States, Australia, Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Turkey, France, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.

He expressed his appreciation to the public who had applied to receive an invitation to the ceremony at the Merdeka Palace.

"Thank you to all the people who have registered to attend the war ticket for the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta," he said.

According to Prasetyo, the high number of applicants shows the public's interest in witnessing the independence ceremony at the Palace.

However, not all applicants immediately received an invitation on the first day. Prasetyo apologized to the public who had not succeeded in getting the opportunity.

He ensured that the government would reopen the invitation on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 10.00 WIB.

"We apologize to the public who did not have the opportunity to receive an invitation yesterday. Today at 10.00 WIB, the war ticket will be reopened. So people don't need to worry, there is still a chance to try again," said Prasetyo.

Prasetyo asked the public to monitor official information and follow the registration provisions so that the process runs orderly.

Registration for the invitation to the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the Merdeka Palace can be made through the official website pandang.istanapresiden.go.id.
