AMPI Ready to Head to the X National Congress, Plenary Meeting to Determine the Acting General Chair and Recommend Sanctions for Jerry Sambuaga

JAKARTA - The Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Indonesian Reform Youth Movement (AMPI) held the IX Expanded Plenary Meeting on Thursday, July 30.

The meeting resulted in a number of strategic decisions, including the appointment of Mafa Uswanas as Acting General Chairperson of the AMPI DPP and a recommendation to the Golkar Party DPP to impose a dismissal sanction against the AMPI General Chairperson, Jerry Sambuaga.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy General Chairperson for Organization of the AMPI DPP Muhammad Safii, accompanied by AMPI DPP Secretary General Robi Anugrah Marpaung.

Safii said the decision was made after a meeting to receive exposure to the results of internal investigations conducted by the Organization Division of the AMPI DPP regarding the dynamics of the organization's management.

"Based on the results of the investigation and internal findings presented by the Organization Department, we recommend to the DPP of the Golkar Party to impose sanctions in the form of dismissal of Dr. Jerry Sambuaga from the Golkar Party membership," said Safii.

In addition, the meeting also appointed Mafa Uswanas as the Acting General Chairperson of the DPP AMPI as part of the revitalization of the DPP AMPI management for the 2022-2027 term.

Safii explained that this step was taken to ensure that the wheels of the organization continued to run effectively while strengthening internal consolidation ahead of the National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) and the National Consultative Meeting (Munas) X AMPI.

"This revitalization is carried out so that the wheels of the organization continue to run optimally. Our main focus is to prepare the Rapimnas and Munas X AMPI to run successfully and produce solid leadership," he said.

Meanwhile, the Acting General Chairperson of the AMPI DPP Mafa Uswanas emphasized that the improvement of the organization was an urgent need to prepare for the AMPI X National Congress.

"I think AMPI must have improvements to pick up the 10th AMPI DPP Munas in the future. Therefore, we must make organizational improvements so that they are more ideal and optimal," said Mafa.

According to him, the improvement of the organization will focus on strengthening the internal structure, increasing work effectiveness, and consolidating cadres so that AMPI remains a youth organization that is responsive and adaptive.

Mafa also invited all AMPI managers and cadres to strengthen solidarity and synchronize steps in achieving the agenda of improving the organization towards the X Congress.
