JAKARTA - The Nagrak Flat, Cilincing, North Jakarta is prepared to be a location for the isolation of COVID-19 patients after the central government stopped the cost of isolation at hotels.

In order to be habitable, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) distributed 500 folding mattresses (velbeds) commonly used by TNI-Polri officers. This portable sleeping mat is useful as a supporting facility in the Nagrak Flat.

Head of BNPB Ganip Warsito said the facilities in the Nagrak flats were made to deal with the surge in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia after the Eid holiday.

"We continue to check and monitor the readiness of each isolation place for Covid-19 patients to anticipate a surge in cases, especially the number of positive confirmed patients, in the group of people without symptoms or OTG which is increasing," said Ganip at the Nagrak Flat, North Jakarta, Sunday, 13 June.

Rusun Nagrak has 14 towers. Towers 1 to 5 will be used as isolation locations for COVID-19 patients. Meanwhile, towers 6 to 10 are still in the process of being occupied and towers 11 to 14 are already occupied.

Continuing, the Head of the Simple Rental Flats Management Unit (UPRS III) of the DKI Provincial Government, Vita Nurvianti admitted that her party still needed the assistance of human resources (HR) in handling COVID-19 patients.

"Just as at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Jakarta Emergency Hospital, Nagrak Flats also need additional support from human resources in the context of services to Covid-19 patients, considering that our resources are quite limited which only includes cleaning staff and building technicians," said Vita.

Currently, there will be 58 other individual service providers (PJLP) from each tower who will be trained by the DKI Health Office to treat COVID-19 patients.

"There are 58 Individual Other Service Providers or PJLP officers from each tower who will be trained by the Health Service regarding SOPs for handling Covid-19 patients. The training will be held from next Tuesday in Tower 3," said Head of the DKI Health Office, Widyastuti.

Widyastuti also added that the DKI Jakarta Health Service also helped the flow of receiving or evacuating COVID-19 patients with a zoning system to prevent contact transmission between COVID-19 patients.

"We are also coordinating and helping to regulate the evacuation flow for Covid-19 patient admissions with a zoning system so as to reduce the potential for patient contact with each other," he added.
