190 Companies In DKI Are Temporarily Sealed For Violating PSBB

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Disnakertransgi) temporarily sealed 190 companies. The company was proven to have violated the rules for Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB).

Head of the Jakarta Disnakertransgi, Andri Yansyah, said the sealing was done because the company insisted on operating in the office. In fact, the business sector in question is prohibited from operating in the workplace or is required to work from home.

"There are 16,594 workers or laborers affected from the 190 companies that have been temporarily suspended. This data is still ongoing," said Andri when confirmed, Wednesday, May 13.

The details, as many as 23 violating companies were in Central Jakarta, 47 in West Jakarta, 37 in North Jakarta, 25 in East Jakarta, 49 in South Jakarta. Meanwhile, there were no offenders in the Thousand Islands.

Apart from companies that were temporarily sealed, there were 287 companies that violated PSBB that were not included in the termination of business exceptions but had operational permits and industrial mobility (IOMKI).

Even though these 278 companies have received IOMKI from the Ministry of Industry, they are included as violators of the PSBB because they do not implement the COVID-19 prevention protocol. The company was given warnings and guidance.

Then, there are 668 companies that are categorized as exempt from the PSBB and may operate but are given warnings and guidance. They are included in the category of offenders because they have not implemented all health protocols related to the prevention of corona virus transmission.

"We leave it to the Ministry of Industry to implement the sanctions. Our job is only to provide guidance and reporting," said Andri.

Tens of thousands were laid off, hundreds of thousands were sent home

In addition to company violations during the PSBB period, the DKI Disnakertransgi also noted that 50,891 people lost their jobs due to layoffs by companies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In detail, as many as 30,363 workers were laid off in phase I (April 2-4) and 20,528 workers in phase II (April 8-9). The total number of companies that carried out layoffs of their employees was 6,782 places of business.

In addition, 272,333 workers were laid off by the company during the COVID-19 outbreak. In detail, 172,222 workers were laid off during the registration phase I (April 2-4) and 100,111 workers in phase II (April 8-9). The total number of companies that lay off their workers is 32,882 places of business.

During the PSBB period, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan prohibited companies or offices from operating in the office, they were required to work from their respective homes. However, there are some sectors of work that are still allowed to have activities at work.

These sectors are all government offices, both central and regional, representative offices of foreign countries or international organizations, as well as State / Regional Owned Enterprises.

Then, several business actors or private offices that are still allowed to carry out activities include:

In addition, local and international community organizations engaged in the disaster and / or social sectors are still allowed to operate.

Food, food, or beverage businesses such as restaurants are still allowed to operate, but all purchases must be wrapped and no one is allowed to eat the food on site.

Restaurant owners must apply the principle of keeping the queue standing and sitting at least one meter between customers. Then, apply the principles of food sanitation in the food handling process according to the provisions.

Especially for construction work, Anies asked construction workers to remain in the project environment. So that workers do not go out of the project environment, Anies asked the manager to prepare a place to live, eat, drink and health facilities.
