PKB Harlah, Prabowo Emphasizes New Economic Direction Based on Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution

JAKARTA - The President of the Republic of Indonesia and Chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, admitted that he was touched by the support given by the Ijtima Ulama of the National Awakening Party (PKB) for the new direction of the government's economic policy.

This was conveyed by Prabowo when attending the 28th Anniversary of PKB entitled "New Direction of the Constitutional Economic Mandate" at the Jakarta Convention Center, Thursday, July 23 evening.

Prabowo said he was happy and touched because in the harlah commemoration, the PKB Ulama Ijtima explicitly expressed support for the direction of economic development being carried out by the government.

"I really feel happy and touched to be present at this evening event. I am touched because PKB in its harlah has so firmly expressed support for the new direction of our economy," said Prabowo.

Prabowo also responded to the attribute written "Prabowonomics" worn by participants. According to him, the economic ideas implemented by the government are not new or personal thoughts, but are based on the mandate of the constitution, especially Article 33 and Article 34 of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945.

"I also feel touched, brother, wearing a 'Prabowonomics' shirt. In fact, frankly speaking, it is not appropriate for you to use my name there," he said.

Prabowo emphasized that his belief all along was to carry out the ideals of the founders of the nation by upholding the mandate of the constitution.

"My determination, my belief, that is my belief in the ideals of the founding fathers, my belief in the Proclamation of August 17, 1945, my belief in the 1945 Constitution, especially Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution and Article 34. Article 33 and Article 34 of our Constitution are my belief, my idea. There is nothing new," he said.

Prabowo also admitted that he was touched to receive a "gift" in the form of a recommendation from the Ijtima Ulama which was read at the PKB Harlah. He said that the contents of the recommendation were in line with his conscience, especially support for strengthening national sovereignty, economic independence, acceleration of industrialization, food and energy security, and national development based on Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution.

"Today I got another gift, it's amazing. It was read immediately, the Agreement of the Indonesian Ulama Gathering. This is amazing," said Prabowo.

The results of the Ulama Ijtima, namely strengthening the state to realize an independent, advanced, and prosperous Indonesia.

The Ulama Conference supports President Prabowo Subianto's strategic steps in strengthening national sovereignty, building economic independence, accelerating industrialization, realizing food and energy security, improving human capital quality, and restoring the direction of national development in accordance with the mandate of Article 33 of the Constitution for the greatest prosperity of the people.

Prabowo said the recommendation was not merely a form of support, but also a mandate that he was ready to carry out. "But the order is according to my conscience, brothers and sisters," said Prabowo.

Prabowo then again expressed his gratitude for the support provided by PKB. He assessed the government's struggle to restore the management of the nation's wealth for the greatest prosperity of the people is now increasingly understood by various political elements.

"I believe the parties have understood that. I am sure all parties in our coalition are already in this direction. We don't want to let our wealth be taken anymore," said Prabowo.
