JAKARTA - Bank Jakarta takes advantage of the 2026 Jakarta Fair (PRJ) not only to introduce banking services, but also to provide a space for children to develop their public speaking skills. One of them is through the Grand Final Storytelling Competition with the theme Exploring Jakarta Through Fairy Tales which was held at Hall C1 JIExpo Kemayoran.

A total of 10 best finalists appeared in the final round after passing the selection process. They presented a fairy tale story themed Jakarta with their own style, as well as showing storytelling skills in front of the jury and Jakarta Fair visitors.

This competition is divided into two age categories, namely 6-9 years and 10-12 years. Through this activity, participants are encouraged to develop creativity, public speaking skills, and build confidence from an early age. At the same time, the stories presented also become a medium to introduce Jakarta to children through an approach that is closer to their world.

The atmosphere of the competition was lively. Parents of participants and visitors who filled the Bank Jakarta booth continued to provide support to the finalists while performing on stage.

One of the participants, Petra Timothy Joseph, admitted that he was nervous when he had to perform in front of many people. However, the preparation he had made made him able to overcome his nervousness until he finally came out as the first winner in the 10-12 age category.

"At first I was very nervous. But after a while I felt very happy because I had been preparing for this competition for a long time," Petra told reporters, quoted by Tuesday, July 7.

Appreciation was also conveyed by Monica, the parents of Morena Jane Rusli who won the Hope I Champion in the 10-12 age category. According to him, competitions like this are still rarely held, even though they are able to become a space for children to develop literacy skills as well as the courage to appear in public.

"It's rare to have a storytelling competition like this. I'm happy and hope Bank Jakarta continues to support the potential of Indonesian children to grow," he said.

In addition to holding competitions, Bank Jakarta presents various interactive activities at the Jakarta Fair booth through the Engagement Store concept in collaboration with Blibli. Visitors can open a digital account through JakOne Mobile, use the CRM ATM service, make non-cash transactions, and consult on various banking products and services.

Bank Jakarta also collaborates with the DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) by opening a Motor Vehicle Tax payment service in the Jakarta Fair area. This service is prepared to make it easier for people to fulfill their tax obligations without having to visit the service office.
