JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) asked the Bekasi City Government, Indramayu Regency Government, and the Karawang Regency Government to immediately update the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

Budi reminded about KPK Circular (SE) Number 11 of 2020 concerning the Use of Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) and Non-DTKS Data in Providing Social Assistance to the Community.
Through this letter, the Corruption Eradication Commission recommends that ministries, agencies and local governments collect data before implementing social assistance based on DTKS. "Data on new aid recipients must be reported immediately to the Social Welfare Office or the Social Welfare Data and Information Center (Pusdatin Kesos) of the Ministry of Social Affairs to be proposed to be included in the DTKS," he explained.
At the same meeting, the Mayor of Bekasi Rahmat Effendi admitted that the DTKS in his area was last updated in 2017. The reason is that the data update did not go through the Bekasi City Government but directly to the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"The existing National Identification Number (NIK) is still the old NIK, not yet electronic. The problem with updating is that after the latest data is sent to the Ministry of Social Affairs' Center for Data and Information, the data we have sent has not been updated at Pusdatin," said Taufik.

In the Karawang Regency area, based on the DTKS, the total recipients of social assistance reached 270,214 families. Meanwhile, non-DTKS recipients of COVID-19 handling funds were 228,334 families.
KPK advised local governments to continue to monitor the recapitulation process, update data on social assistance recipients, and supervise the distribution of social assistance.
