The Minister of Health ensures that the female victims of kidnapping will be treated until the reconstruction of the face

JAKARTA - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin ensures that YTR, the woman who was allegedly subjected to violence and kidnapping by her lover in Bandung Regency, West Java, is treated until she gets a face reconstruction.

"We will take care of it until reconstruction because this also happens, the face must be reconstructed," said Budi as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 23.

The victim, he said, is currently being treated at the Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Bandung. He ensured that the victim's treatment would be carried out to the maximum.

"We promise to take the best possible care of the person concerned at Hasan Sadikin Hospital," he said.

Furthermore, he said the Ministry of Empowerment of Women and Child Protection (PPPA) and local governments also intervened to help the victims.

"For economic problems, it is handled by the local government, for social problems, it is handled by the Ministry of PPPA, and the three of us have coordinated," said Budi.

Meanwhile, the West Java Police are hunting for a man with the initials TH who is suspected of imprisoning and abusing YTR for three years.

Director of Women and Children Protection (PPA) and Human Trafficking (TPPO) of West Java Police, Kombes Pol. Rumi Untari said that at present, investigators are still pursuing the alleged perpetrators who have not yet been successfully secured.

Regarding the development of the investigation, Rumi said that the case was still being investigated by investigators by involving several witnesses who had been questioned.

This case was first revealed after the victim's family received a message via the WhatsApp application from an unknown person who informed the victim was at the Emergency Room of Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Bandung.

After that, the victim's family came to RSHS and it was found that the victim was seriously injured in the head, face, legs, and minor injuries on the hands.

Before being found at the hospital, the victim was not known to the family for about three years.
