Director General of Village Development Support for Strengthening the Synergy between Central Government and Regions for Economic Stability

JAKARTA - Director General of Village Government Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Dr. Drs. La Ode Ahmad Pidana Bolombo, M.Si supports the strengthening of synergy between the central government and the regions, in order to maintain and encourage activity and maintain economic stability.

This was shown by attending the Regional Inflation Control Coordination Meeting chaired by the Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian at the Sasana Bhakti Praja Building, Ministry of Home Affairs, Jakarta, Monday (15/6).

In his direction, the Minister of Home Affairs appreciated the achievement of national inflation in May 2026 which was recorded at 3.08 percent (year on year), still within the government's target range, launching a written statement, Tuesday (16/6).

However, the Minister of Home Affairs asked the local government to continue to monitor the development of the prices of a number of strategic commodities, especially cooking oil which has increased in various regions.

Minister of Home Affairs Tito also appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Perum Bulog in maintaining the availability of rice supplies so that prices remain relatively stable and do not become a major contributor to inflation.

The meeting was coupled with discussion of regional government support for the implementation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as well as the signing of a Joint Circular (SEB) between the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) regarding support for the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census.

Furthermore, the Minister of Home Affairs conveyed that he had issued Circular Letter Number 400.2.7/4657/SJ which urged local governments to facilitate and initiate activities to watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup together according to the capabilities of each region.

According to him, this activity is not only a means of entertainment for the community, but also has the potential to stimulate the local economy through the involvement of UMKM actors, the business world, and the local community.

On the same occasion, the Minister of Home Affairs together with the Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti signed a Joint Circular Letter on Regional Government Support for the Implementation of the 2026 Economic Census.

The Minister of Home Affairs emphasized that accurate economic data is an important foundation in the formulation of development policies, both at the central and regional levels.

Through the SEB, local governments are encouraged to strengthen coordination with the BPS in their respective regions to ensure that the 2026 Economic Census is carried out optimally and produces quality data as the basis for planning development and targeted policy making.

The presence of the Director General of Village Government Development in this activity is a form of support from the Directorate General of Village Government Development to strengthen synergy between the central and regional governments in maintaining economic stability, encouraging community economic activities, and supporting the provision of accurate and reliable development data in order to realize sustainable village and regional development.

Also present at the event were the Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, TVRI President Director Tubagus Fiki Chikara Satari, Deputy II of the Presidential Staff Popy Rufaidah, as well as a number of officials from related ministries and institutions.
