Banyumas - The Banyumas City Police (Polresta) together with the Patikraja Sector Police (Polsek) are investigating the case of the discovery of two women who were found dead at a house in Patikraja Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.

Patikraja Police Chief AKP Eko Sutanto said the police arrived at the location after receiving a report at around 07.00 WIB, Friday, June 12.

According to him, until now the investigation is still being carried out by the Patikraja Police and the Banyumas Police to uncover the cause of the death of the two victims.

The victim who was found dead was initial AA who was estimated to be around 18 years old and K was around 80 years old.

He explained that AA was found in a room that was not used as a bedroom, while K was found in a well in the neighborhood of the house.

"The victim with the initials K was found in the well so we asked for the help of the Banyumas SAR Unit to carry out the evacuation," he said.

The police chief said the complete identity of the victim and a number of other statements were still being investigated because officers were still collecting evidence and information in the field.

One of the local residents, Sudarmo (73) said the incident was revealed after he was suspicious because K's house lights were still on until morning.

"It's already half past seven in the morning, but the lights are still on," he said.

Because he felt awkward, he asked other residents to check the condition of the house.

When checked, the house was locked from the inside and there was no answer when the door was knocked.

Residents then asked one of the family members to force open the door of the house.

After the door opened, residents found a man inside the house. However, when asked about the whereabouts of K, the man with the initials AR alias D admitted that he did not know.

When the search was carried out inside the house, residents found a young woman who was not a resident of the house in a dead condition with injuries.

"Suddenly there was someone covered in blood," he said.

He said the search was then continued to find K's whereabouts and not long after, someone saw a suspicious body part in the well area.

"Some saw it like a leg coming out of a well," he said.

He said the findings were reported to the Patikraja Police who then conducted an examination and evacuation.

The woman with the initials K was finally found dead in the well.

According to Sudarmo, K has been living alone in the house.

The police are still collecting evidence and asking for information from a number of parties to uncover the chronology of events and ensure that there is no criminal element in the case.

Meanwhile, the man with the initials AR alias D who previously met residents inside the victim's house, is known to have left the scene by riding a motorcycle and is still being searched.
