JAKARTA - The West Java Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) said that seven witnesses had been questioned, regarding alleged violations in the implementation of dam and badal haji involving one of the Hajj and Umrah Guidance Group (KBIHU) in West Java.
"So far, seven people have been examined, both from the pilgrims, then KBIHU, and also the kloter device," said the Head of the West Java Kemenag Regional Office, Boy Hari Novian, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 10.
He said the current process was still in the form of gathering information and clarification, regarding the reports received regarding the implementation of dams and badal haji in Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry of Religion together with the West Java Police, said Boy, is serious about handling reports of alleged violations involving one of the KBIHU which has recently become a public concern.
"We are accompanied by the West Java Police to handle or clarify the case that is viral regarding one of the KBIHU in West Java," he said.
Boy explained that his party was still investigating the information obtained from witnesses, to ensure the actual facts that occurred during the implementation of the hajj.
He emphasized that the alleged violations that had previously emerged could not be ascertained as the investigation process was still ongoing.
Boy said the witnesses were separated to be questioned individually upon arrival at Kertajati Airport, to facilitate the clarification process.
"We separate and clarify or ask for information from the person concerned and also the pilgrims themselves," he said.
In addition, he appealed to all KBIHU and pilgrims to carry out the provisions that have been set by the government and not to practice outside the rules during the Hajj pilgrimage.
"Don't let there be activities that are carried out outside the rules because it has the potential to cause consequences and sanctions according to the applicable provisions," he said.
