JAKARTA - The Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) General TNI (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman revealed allegations of inflation in the management of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) or the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program kitchen.
According to Dudung, there is a kitchen that was originally designed to serve 3,000 beneficiaries. However, in practice, the number of recipients has decreased to around 1,000 to 1,500 people. However, the calculation of incentives to managers is still using the initial capacity.
"It should be three thousand, it turns out that there are only one thousand five hundred, there are one thousand. But the count is still like three thousand," said Dudung at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday (10/6).
He explained that in total there were around 27,877 kitchens with a target beneficiary of around 63 million people. Assuming one kitchen serves 3,000 people, the kitchen needs should be around 22,000 units.
"So where are these five thousand kitchens? Well, this is what is being checked," he said.
Dudung said that the issue was part of a comprehensive evaluation conducted by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). The findings related to the alleged inflation will also be further processed according to the legal mechanism.
In addition to rearranging the number of kitchens, the government will also evaluate the operational quality of MBG kitchens. According to Dudung, President Prabowo Subianto's priority program should not only pursue numbers, but must ensure the quality of food, safety, and the accuracy of the target beneficiaries.
KSP will also conduct direct checks on kitchens that are already operating in various areas to ensure that the implementation of the program is in accordance with the rules.
