JAKARTA - A number of cadres of the United Development Party (PPP) reported the PPP General Chairman Mardiono to the Polda Metro Jaya for allegedly falsifying documents related to the implementation of the 10th PPP Congress.

The report was filed on Monday, June 8, 2026, and was represented by the lawyers for the reporters, Wahyudin Ingratubun.

Wahyudin said his party reported Mardiono for allegedly forging a signature which was allegedly carried out together with other parties for the sake of his appointment as Chairman of the PPP in the 10th Congress held in Ancol, North Jakarta, on September 27-29, 2025.

"We have assisted several clients in reports against the Special Presidential Envoy, Haji Muhammad Mardiono, who is suspected of forging a signature for the purpose of appointing him as Chairman of the PPP at the 10th Congress," Wahyudin told reporters at the Polda Metro Jaya, Monday (8/6/2026).

According to him, around 40 people have been verified as victims of alleged document forgery. They come from a number of areas, including Taliabu Island Regency, North Maluku, and Lampung Province.

Wahyudin explained that the document allegedly containing the false signature was also used as evidence in the trial at the Central Jakarta District Court and the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) regarding the dispute over the results of the PPP Congress.

"There will be follow-up reports, it will not stop here," he said.

He said the reporters had previously given their support to Agus Suparmanto in the 10th PPP Congress. However, in the process of proving in the Central Jakarta PN and the Jakarta PTUN, a letter of support emerged which said they supported Mardiono.

"In the process of proving in the Central Jakarta PN and the Jakarta PTUN, a letter of support was found stating that the victim supported the reported party," he said.

After confirmation, the reporters admitted that they had never signed or provided support as stated in the document. They also assessed that the signature was different from the original signature.

"For the time being, about 40 people have been verified, but the number could reach 100 or more because the verification is still ongoing," said Wahyudin.

In addition to Mardiono, the report also lists two other names as reported, namely Irvandi and Syarif.

As evidence, the reporters submitted the original support letter previously given to Agus Suparmanto as well as the document of the support letter which was allegedly forged. Investigators also asked for a sample of the reporters' signatures in the last five years for forensic examination.

The report uses Article 391 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP) regarding alleged falsification of documents.

On the same occasion, the Chairman of the PPP DPC of Taliabu Island Regency, Rismanto Tari, admitted that his signature was forged and used as evidence in the PPP 10th Congress dispute trial.

"I never gave support. Even though I received a report of accountability, I never signed the document. I was harmed because the document was used as evidence in court," said Rismanto.

He hopes the police will immediately follow up on the report and thoroughly investigate the alleged forgery of documents reported by PPP cadres.

Until this news was published, Mardiono and the PPP party had not responded to the report.
