Polda Metro Jaya Will Call McDonald's About BTS Meal Crowd

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya plans to call and ask for information from McDonald's regarding the crowd that occurred due to the emergence of a special BTS Meal menu.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said the summons would only be made if deemed necessary. Because, for now the problem has been handled by the DKI Provincial Government through the Satpol PP.

"While walking, how will it go, what will it be like. We will make the summons and we will wait," Yusri told reporters, Wednesday, June 9.

For now, said Yusri, his party has taken preventive measures. For example, he appealed to continue to apply health protocols (prokes). In addition, his party has also sent a letter of warning to the McDonald's Menteng branch, Central Jakarta.

"Write a warning letter to McDonald's. Then we ask the manager there to immediately close the ordering application," said Yusri.

"Then so that there will be no more crowds, we will close the entrance, the gate to the outlet," he continued.

Previously, Porli said that he had not taken any legal steps regarding the matter. Later, the Police will coordinate with the COVID-19 Task Force.

"Communicated with the COVID-19 Task Force (about the crowd)," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Argo Yuwono.

Later, from the results of the coordination, the next steps will be determined. Because crowds are strictly prohibited during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To deal with the crowd, continued Argo, his party has deployed regional personnel. They will unravel the crowd.

"Police and TNI are coordinating with the Regional Government to provide education about the incident," he said.
