Jabodetabek Weather Monday, June 8 Dominated by Clear Cloudy, Light Rain in the Afternoon Potential

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) regions on Monday, June 8, will be dominated by cloudy to cloudy conditions in the morning. However, light rain is still potentially occurring in a number of areas in the afternoon and evening.

In the DKI Jakarta area, the weather is expected to be sunny and cloudy from morning to early afternoon. Entering the afternoon, light rain is likely to fall in South Jakarta and East Jakarta, while the Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Thousand Islands areas tend to be cloudy until evening.

The air temperature ranges from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius with an air humidity level of 60-95 percent.

Meanwhile, the Bogor area is predicted to experience light to moderate rain in the afternoon and evening. The Puncak, Cisarua, and South Bogor Regency areas have the potential to experience rain that may be accompanied by lightning and strong winds.

The air temperature is in the range of 20-27 degrees Celsius with high relative humidity.

In the Depok area, the weather is expected to be cloudy in the morning before light rain falls in the afternoon and evening. Similar conditions are also predicted to occur in Tangerang and Bekasi, especially in areas bordering Jakarta and Bogor.

BMKG appeals to the public who are active outdoors to remain aware of changes in weather that can occur quickly, especially in the afternoon and evening.

Motor vehicle drivers are also asked to be careful when passing through areas that are potentially flooded because the road conditions can be slippery and visibility is reduced.

In general, the weather conditions in Jabodetabek are still influenced by the relatively high air humidity, which supports the formation of local rain clouds, especially during the day and night. The public is advised to prepare umbrellas or raincoats when going outside the house.
