TABANAN - Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul said the People's School was designed not only to provide free access to education, but also to provide learning facilities that support character formation and the improvement of human resources.

This was conveyed by Gus Ipul when reporting the development of the People's School to President Prabowo Subianto at SRMP 17 Tabanan, Bali, Sunday (7/6).

According to Gus Ipul, the facilities available at the People's School include dormitories, classrooms, dining rooms, halls, laboratories, libraries, and technology-based learning facilities.

"The learning uses laptops and smart boards," said Gus Ipul.

He explained that the boarding school concept was chosen so that students could get a more focused learning environment while supporting character development on a daily basis.

In addition to academic activities, students also participate in various self-development activities through extracurricular programs and learning activities outside the classroom.

According to Gus Ipul, all of these facilities were prepared in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's instructions to ensure that children from poor families have equal learning opportunities.

Currently, the government is also building a permanent People's School building in various areas. One of them is in Karangasem Regency, Bali, which will later replace the pilot facility currently used in Tabanan.

Gus Ipul said the People's School model was designed to provide more comprehensive educational services, ranging from learning needs, housing, to the formation of the character of the learners.
