JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the North Jakarta Metro Police is still investigating the discovery of a young woman who was found dead in an indekost area in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

The police are still conducting examinations of a number of witnesses and continue to collect evidence.

"Indeed, the death (of the victim) can be said to be unnatural," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of North Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Awaludin Kanur when confirmed, Saturday, June 6.

However, the police have not been able to determine the exact cause of the young woman's death.

"This case is still being investigated and developed first," he said.

He also asked all parties to be patient for the next one to two days because members of the North Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim are still conducting an investigation.

"Later we will inform you if there is a bright spot. Hopefully it will be revealed soon," he said.

Previously reported, a woman was allegedly the victim of murder inside a boarding house located on Jalan Ganggeng 6, Sungai Bambu, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Friday, May 5, 2026.

Before being found dead, the victim was allegedly met by a man through an online dating application. In addition, the victim also lost Rp 20 million in cash.
