JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas on Friday, June 5, will be dominated by cloudy to cloudy conditions in the morning. However, light to moderate rain is still potentially occurring in a number of areas during the day and evening.

In the DKI Jakarta area, the weather is expected to be sunny and cloudy since morning. Entering the afternoon and evening, light rain is likely to fall in South Jakarta and East Jakarta. Meanwhile, Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands are likely to be cloudy until evening.

The air temperature ranges from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 65-95 percent.

Meanwhile, the Bogor area is predicted to experience light to moderate rain since noon. The Puncak, Cisarua, and surrounding areas have the potential to be hit by rain accompanied by lightning in the afternoon before nightfall.

The air temperature in Bogor is in the range of 20-28 degrees Celsius with relatively high air humidity.

In the Bekasi area, the weather is predicted to be cloudy in the morning to afternoon before light rain falls in the afternoon and evening. The air temperature ranges from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius. The public is advised to be aware of puddles and slippery road conditions when it rains during rush hour.

The Depok and Tangerang areas are predicted to experience similar weather patterns, namely cloudy in the morning and potentially light to moderate rain in the afternoon and evening. This weather condition is influenced by the high humidity which still supports the formation of rain clouds in the western Java region.

BMKG urges people who are active outdoors to prepare umbrellas or raincoats, especially during the day and night. Drivers are also asked to be careful when passing through areas that are potentially experiencing rain accompanied by strong winds and reduced visibility.
