JAKARTA - Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Nanik Sudaryati Deyang said the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program will be focused on the lagging, leading, and outermost regions (3T), as well as pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers (3B) according to President Prabowo Subianto's instructions.
"Now we focus on 3T and especially for 3B. After we discuss with experts, the best nutritional intervention is when the first month of pregnancy starts until the age of nine or elementary school (SD). "So, we will continue to carry out budget efficiency in various fields. In order to achieve budget efficiency, the first thing we do is refocusing the beneficiaries; second, a moratorium on new point kitchens; third, the renovation of kitchens that have stood and operated to meet standards to produce quality food, including improvements and training of human resources," he said.
