Today, Immanuel Ebenezer's Fate Determined in K3 Case Verdict Hearing

Former Deputy Minister of Manpower and a suspect in the alleged extortion case related to the issuance of K3 certificates at the Ministry of Manpower, Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan (ANTARA)

JAKARTA - The Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court has scheduled the reading of the verdict against the former Deputy Minister of Manpower, Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan, on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

The verdict was the final stage of the case of alleged extortion in the management of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) certification and the acceptance of gratification that dragged Noel's name while serving in the Ministry of Manpower.

Based on information in the Central Jakarta District Court's Case Tracking Information System (SIPP), the trial will be held at 10.00 WIB in the Kusuma Atmadja courtroom and will be chaired by the Chairperson of the Panel of Judges, Nur Sari Baktiana.

The decision of the panel of judges will determine whether Noel is proven to have committed a criminal act of corruption as charged by the public prosecutor.

Previously, the prosecutor demanded Noel a prison sentence of five years and a fine of Rp. 250 million with a 90-day imprisonment. In addition, Noel was also ordered to pay compensation of Rp. 4.43 billion. If not paid, the demand is replaced with a prison sentence of two years.

In the indictment, Noel is said to have been involved in extortion practices against applicants for K3 certification and licenses with a value of IDR 6.52 billion. He is also suspected of receiving gratification while serving as Deputy Minister of Manpower.

The prosecutor also charged Noel with receiving gratification in the form of money worth Rp3.36 billion from state civil servants in the Ministry of Manpower and private parties. In addition to money, he is also said to have received a blue-colored Ducati Scrambler motorcycle.

This matter does not only drag Noel. A total of 10 other defendants are also charged with being involved in the same case, namely Temurila, Miki Mahfud, Fahrurozi, Hery Sutanto, Subhan, Gerry Aditya Herwanto Putra, Irvian Bobby Mahendro Putro, Sekarsari Kartika Putri, Anitasari Kusumawati, and Supriadi.

The prosecutor demands different sentences for each defendant according to their roles and alleged involvement. In addition to imprisonment and fines, a number of defendants are also required to pay compensation in varying amounts, ranging from hundreds of millions to tens of billions of rupiah.

Irvian Bobby Mahendro Putro became one of the defendants with the largest demand for compensation, namely more than IDR 60 billion. Meanwhile, several other defendants, such as Sekarsari Kartika Putri, Gerry Aditya Herwanto Putra, Supriadi, and Anitasari Kusumawati, are also required to return funds allegedly derived from the results of corruption related to the management of K3 certification.

Today's sentencing session is an important moment that will determine the legal fate of Noel and other defendants in the case that has attracted public attention. The panel of judges will assess all the facts of the trial, evidence, and witness statements before sentencing.
