YOGYAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto appointed Nanik S Deyang as the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to replace Dadan Hindayana who was dismissed along with two other deputy heads of the BGN. The decision was announced directly by the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.

"The President has decided to appoint Sister Nanik S. Deyang as the new head of BGN," said Prasetyo at the Presidential Palace, Tuesday evening, June 2.

Nanik Sudaryati Deyang was born on January 3, 1968 in Madiun, East Java. Her professional career began in the world of journalism where Nanik was known for being critical of various social and political issues.

Nanik started his career as a reporter at Tabloid Bangkit which is part of Kompas Gramedia. This experience became a strong foundation for his long career in the media world.

Nanik's journey in the media industry did not stop as a field journalist. He had held various strategic positions in a number of national media companies. Among them are the general leader of the Femme magazine and the main director of the Beauty Info tabloid.

He also served as CEO of Kresna Media and was involved in Prospektif Magazine. In addition, he was a Director at MNC in the period 2005-2009.

Nanik's name began to receive widespread attention when he was involved in the winning team of Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno in the 2019 Presidential Election. He served as Deputy Chairman of the National Victory Agency of the Adil Makmur Coalition.
