JAKARTA - Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin reminded members of the Reserve Component (Komcad) from the state civil apparatus (ASN) to be aware of various influences that could weaken the Indonesian government's bureaucratic system.
"I once told you that there were enemies in the blanket, namely those who did not like the bureaucracy in Indonesia to be strong. In fact, you were trained to make the bureaucracy strong and an example," said Sjafrie when giving a briefing to 1,773 ASN who will be inaugurated as Komcad at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, East Jakarta, Wednesday, June 3, reported by ANTARA.
Sjafrie said that ASN Komcad has the responsibility to strengthen the bureaucracy and set an example in their respective work environments after completing Komcad education.
According to him, there are parties who do not want the Indonesian bureaucracy to develop and become stronger, both from outside and from within the country.
"People outside don't want the bureaucracy in Indonesia to be strong. There are even people in Indonesia who we call the deep state," he said.
However, Sjafrie did not elaborate further on the party referred to in his statement.
He emphasized that ASN Komcad needed to strengthen their capacity, nationalism, and patriotism as a supply in carrying out their duties as state apparatus.
According to him, the values obtained during Komcad education must be the foundation in maintaining integrity and professionalism in the work environment.
By prioritizing nationalism and professionalism, ASN Komcad is expected to be able to provide the best performance for the benefit of the community while strengthening the government's bureaucratic system.
"One thing you have to pay attention to is vigilance. Don't let you be influenced by ideology because our ideology is clear Pancasila. Our politics are clear in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia," said Sjafrie.
A total of 1,773 ASN who attended the Komcad education came from various government agencies in Jakarta.
Previously, they were released by the Head of the Defense Reserve Agency of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General TNI Gabriel Lema, at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, East Jakarta, Wednesday (22/4).
Participants undergo basic military training (latsarmil) for one and a half months at a number of TNI facilities, including the Health Education Center (Pusdikkes), Education Squadron (Skadik) 301, TNI Language Center (Pusbahasa AU), Regional Military Command (Kodam) Jaya, and the Marine Corps (Pasmar) 1 Cilandak.
The Ministry of Defense plans to open Komcad training for ASN second wave after the completion of the first wave.
In the second wave, the quota of participants prepared reached 2,000 people.
