Malaysia Strongly Condemns the Attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli Settlers

JAKARTA - Malaysia strongly condemns the latest incident of the invasion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli illegal settlers, including the act of raising the Israeli flag inside the holy site.

Malaysia through a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that all efforts to carry out the process of Judaization of the Al-Aqsa Mosque were a heinous act and desecrated the sanctity of the mosque.

"The latest actions by illegal settlers with the support of the Zionist regime of Israel are attempts to change the reality on the ground as well as the cultural, historical and sacred character of the Al-Aqsa Mosque," the Malaysian Foreign Ministry said in Kuala Lumpur, Tuesday, June 2, reported by ANTARRA.

The Malaysian Foreign Ministry emphasized that such actions were provocative and totally unacceptable, and clearly ignored the role of guarding Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem.

The international community is asked not to remain silent when hostilities and raids occur openly.

Malaysia also reiterated its call on the international community and the United Nations (UN) to take immediate and concrete steps to stop the violations and ensure that the Zionist regime is held fully accountable.

Malaysia reaffirms its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and reiterates its firm stand in support of the establishment of a free and sovereign Palestinian State, based on the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
