President Prabowo attends the DPR plenary session to convey the KEM PPKF RAPBN 2027

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto attended the 19th DPR RI Plenary Meeting of the V Session of the 2025-2026 Session in order to convey the macro economic framework (KEM) and the main points of the fiscal policy (PPKF) of the 2027 budget.

The plenary session was chaired by House of Representatives Chairperson Puan Maharani and held at the Nusantara II building, the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 20.

"Today's plenary meeting is very special, because it is attended directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia who will deliver the Macro Economic Framework (KEM) and the Fiscal Policy Elements (PPKF) of the 2027 Budget to the Honorable Council Meeting," said Puan opening the plenary meeting.

Puan explained, the 2027 Fiscal Year PPKF KEM is an initial draft as a basis for preparing the 2027 Fiscal Year State Budget, which has a macro economic policy direction as well as a state revenue and expenditure budget policy direction.

"The 2027 Fiscal Year PPKF also has a strategic role because it is not only related to the design and construction of a healthy and sustainable state budget posture, namely state revenues, state expenditures, deficits and financing; but also anticipates various economic risks that can be caused both from within and outside the country," explained Puan.

The 2027 PPKF Budget Year is also expected to be able to become the foundation for the realization of quality economic growth, namely growth that is not only oriented towards increasing high Gross Domestic Product figures, but also growth that creates jobs, increases people's income, reduces poverty and inequality, strengthens competitiveness, and ensures that the benefits of development can be felt evenly by all Indonesian people.

Macro assumptions and fiscal directions in the PPKF KEM will also signal investors, businesses, local governments, and market participants about the national economic space in 2027.

Puan said that the contents of the 2027 PPKF KEM have always been a hope for all Indonesian people, to be able to feel the benefits of national development, so that people's lives are easier and more prosperous.

"The presence of the President in delivering the 2027 PPKF KEM is an important and strategic momentum to confirm that the design and construction of the 2027 State Budget is directed to provide the greatest possible benefits for all Indonesian people," said Puan.
