Dangdut Singer Betty Elista Does Not Attend The Fry Bribery Trial, Prosecutor: There Is No Clear Reason

JAKARTA - Dangdut singer Betty Elista was not present at the trial in the alleged bribery case for the export license for lobster seeds or fry with the defendant Edhy Prabowo. He didn't show up for no apparent reason.

"We have called but the person concerned did not come, the reason is that until now we do not know why, because there is no confirmation from the person concerned," said prosecutor at the KPK Zainal Abidin to reporters at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 8.

In fact, the statement is quite important. Because the prosecutor will explore and prove the flow of funds. He is suspected of receiving money from Edhy Prabowo through his special staff, Amiril Mukminin.

"It's only the flow of money from the defendant to him, whether there is one he accepts too, that's what we prove," said Zainal.

Even though Betty was not present, continued Zainal, the trial process would not be disturbed. Later, all the results of the examination of him contained in the examination report file (BAP) will be read out in court.

"Earlier, there was a judge's decision so that the BAP's statement reads the points," he said firmly.

Previously, the public prosecutor (JPU) planned to present seven witnesses whose statements would be heard in the bribery case for the fried shrimp export permit. One of the witnesses was the dangdut singer Betty Elista.

There was also the KPK had time to examine the dancer Betty Elista. During this investigation, investigators confiscated the bank statement belonging to the singer of the song 'Sebelas Duabelas'.

The bank statement belonging to Belista, known as Betty Elista, was confiscated by investigators for allegedly receiving money from the corruption proceeds from Edhy Prabowo's fried shrimp export license when he was Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
