MPR General Secretariat Deactivates the Jury and MC of the Smart and Careful Competition of the Four Pillars in West Kalimantan

JAKARTA - The General Secretariat (Setjen) of the MPR has deactivated the jury and MC boards at the 2026 MPR Four Pillars Smart Smart (LCC) Competition at the West Kalimantan Provincial Level in the wake of the controversy over the assessment error.

"Regarding the large number of reports on social media ... regarding the assessment of the answers of participants in one of the competition sessions, the organizing committee from the General Secretariat of the MPR RI has disabled the jury and MC boards in this LCC activity," wrote the MPR General Secretariat statement as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 11.

The MPR Secretariat General expressed an apology and admitted that the jury board had neglected the final round held in Pontianak on Saturday (9/5).

MPR admitted that it understood that education and training activities for the younger generation, including the four pillars of LCC, must uphold the values of sportsmanship, objectivity, fairness, and a constructive learning spirit.

Therefore, the MPR will conduct a thorough evaluation of the technical aspects of the competition, including the assessment mechanism, the system for verifying the answers of participants, and the governance of objections in the competition.

"So that the implementation in the future can go better, more transparent, and accountable."

In addition, the MPR also expressed its appreciation to all participants, accompanying teachers, regional committees, and the public who continue to pay attention to national education and the implementation of the Four Pillars of LCC.

"Public input will be an important material for evaluation to maintain the quality of activities and public confidence in the inclusive, educational, and ethical national learning process," the statement said.

Previously, three high schools (SMA) competed in the final round of the MPR Four Pillars LCC at the provincial level in West Kalimantan, namely Pontianak State High School 1, Sambas State High School 1, and Sanggau State High School 1.

Later, the competition was widely discussed on social media because of an error in judgment during the question-and-answer session. The jury's response to the participant's objection was highlighted by netizens.

As witnessed by the video of the race which was aired on the MPRGOID YouTube page, the error in judgment began with the question "The DPR in choosing BPK members is required to pay attention to the consideration of which institution?"

Team C from SMAN 1 Pontianak answered, "Members of the Financial Supervisory Board are elected by the House of Representatives with regard to the consideration of the Regional Representative Council and inaugurated by the President."

The jury then gave a reduction of five points for the answer of the C team. The same question was then thrown to the other team.

Team B, which came from SMAN 2 Sambas, then answered, "Members of the Financial Audit Agency are elected by the House of Representatives with regard to the consideration of the Regional Representative Council and inaugurated by the President."

The jury then declared that the answer of Team B was correct. "Yes, the essence of the answer is correct. Ten points," said the jury board, Head of the MPR General Secretariat Assessment Bureau Dyastasita W.B.

Team C then objected to the jury's assessment. "The jury, permission, we answered it just like Team B. Same," said the team representative.

Responding to this, Dyastasita said, "Earlier it was mentioned that the C team, yes, it was a consideration from the DPD that there was none. The DPR was."

"There is," replied the student from Team C.

"I said like this, members of the Financial Audit Agency are elected by the House of Representatives with regard to the consideration of the Regional Representative Council and inaugurated by the President," he said, repeating his previous answer.

"The jury board thought there was no Regional Representative Council," said Dyastasita.

"Sir, sorry, maybe you can see the views of others too? Maybe from the audience, did anyone hear me say DPD?" replied the student from the C team again.

"I think my decision is in the jury council, yes," said Dyastasita.

Before the host continued the race to the next question, the other jury, Head of the Secretariat of the MPR RI Socialization Agency, Indri Wahyuni, delivered an additional response.

"Well, yes, it has been warned from the beginning, yes, the articulation is important. So, get used to answering it with clear articulation, yes. If you think you have, but the jury panel judges you don't, because you didn't hear your articulation clearly, yes, that means the jury panel has the right to give a minus five value," said Indri.
