Legislator Gives 100 Riyals to the Last Kloter of Padang Haji Candidates

Assistance from the government is 750 riyals. Then, from me there is an additional 100 riyals

PADANG - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) from West Sumatra (Sumbar) Andre Rosiade gave additional pocket money to the last group of pilgrims (batch) from the Padang Embarkation of 100 riyals or equivalent to Rp462,700 per person.

"The government's assistance is 750 riyals. Then, from me there is an additional 100 riyals for each prospective haji in the last batch," said Andre Rosiade in Padang, Saturday.

He said the pocket money was a form of support as a member of the Indonesian Parliament from the Ranah Minang to the prospective pilgrims to add their pocket money during the haj pilgrimage in the Holy Land.

In general, he thanked and appreciated the hard work of all parties concerned, including the West Sumatra Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj), the West Sumatra Provincial Government and the Airport Authority which provided maximum support and services to prospective pilgrims.

"I can feel and see the satisfaction of prospective pilgrims, from leaving the dormitory, traveling to the airport and airport services to the plane," he said.

According to him, this shows evidence that each party continues to improve and provide better services for prospective pilgrims. The government through the relevant ministries is committed to improving the facilities and services of the hajj pilgrimage from time to time.

"We hope that the Haji Village for Indonesian pilgrims in the Holy Land can be functional and used optimally in the next few years," he hoped.

The West Sumatra Ministry of Religion has completed all the departures of prospective pilgrims from the Padang Embarkation to the Holy Land for the 1447 Hijriah Hajj season. The completion was marked by the departure of 287 prospective pilgrims and the last wave of officers, namely batch 14 which was flown from the Minangkabau International Airport on Saturday morning.
