TANJUNG SELOR - The North Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) Fugitive Capture Team (Tabur) secured a convict for a forestry crime case who was on the Bulungan District Attorney's Office (Kejari) Person Search List (DPO).

Head of the North Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) Yudi Indra Gunawan through the Head of the Prosecutor's Office Andi Sugandi revealed that the convict named Ahmad Bin Hanapi AT (50) was arrested on Monday (4/5) at around 23.55 Wita in the Sekatak District area, Bulungan Regency.

"The arrest was carried out after Ahmad was included in the wanted list since July 2025, after being found guilty in the case of encroachment on forest areas based on the Supreme Court's cassation decision No. 4239 K/Pid.Sus-LH/2025 dated July 3, 2025," said Andi.

In the ruling, the Supreme Court sentenced him to eight months in prison and a fine of Rp500 million with a provision of one month in prison.

"The convict is currently secured and temporarily detained at the Bulungan Police Detention Center," said Andi, Wednesday (6/5/2026).
