China Fireworks Factory Explosion Kills 21 People

JAKARTA - An explosion at a fireworks factory in central China killed 21 people and injured 61 others.

According to the Liuyang City Emergency Management Bureau in Changsha, Hunan Province, the explosion occurred at a fireworks factory at 16.43 p.m. local time on Monday, April 4.

Reported by ANTARA from Sputnik, the local law enforcement authorities have detained the responsible parties at the company.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the cause of the explosion and the cleaning efforts is still ongoing.
