Solid Cooperation between the Indonesian and Singaporean Armies is an Important Pillar of Regional Security

JAKARTA - Solid work between the Indonesian Army and Singapore is one of the important pillars in creating conducive regional security, said the Chief of Staff of the Army (Kasad) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, M.Sc.

This was conveyed by General Maruli when receiving a courtesy visit from the Chief of Army Singapore Army Major General Cai Dexian at the Army Headquarters (Mabesad), Jakarta, Monday, as part of efforts to strengthen regional security stability through military cooperation between the two countries.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the two Army leaders discussed various opportunities for strategic cooperation, including increasing the capacity of soldiers, joint training, and exchanging military knowledge and experience.

Kasad, General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, conveyed that the relationship between the Indonesian Army and the Singapore Army has been very good and constructive, quoted from the Indonesian Army Public Information Service, Monday (4/5).

Furthermore, the 1992 Military Academy Abituren emphasized the importance of strengthening military cooperation as part of contributing to maintaining regional stability and security.

The solid cooperation between the two armies is considered to be one of the important pillars in creating conducive regional security. The Kasad hopes that the relationship will continue to develop and provide tangible benefits for both countries.

As a form of appreciation for his contribution in strengthening bilateral relations, the Chief of Staff awarded the Republic of Indonesia Medal of Honor, the Kartika Eka Paksi Utama Star, to Major General Cai Dexian.

This award is the highest honor from the Indonesian Army to foreign military figures who are considered to have contributed to building friendly relations and cooperation with the Indonesian Army.

Responding to this, Major General Cai Dexian expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the award.

He also emphasized the commitment of the Singapore Army to continue strengthening bilateral relations and improving the cooperation that has been well established.

This honorary visit is expected to further strengthen relations between the two countries, as well as become a strategic momentum in improving the professionalism and capabilities of the respective armies to maintain peace and security in the Southeast Asian region.
