Mojtaba Khamenei Emphasizes Iran Will Maintain Rocket and Nuclear Technology

JAKARTA - Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has stressed that Tehran will protect its achievements in the nuclear and missile technology sectors.

"Ninety million Iranians and their brave and learned compatriots at home and abroad consider all the original, spiritual, human, scientific, and industrial potential, as well as new and fundamental technologies, from nano- and biotechnology to nuclear and rocket technology, as the wealth of the country," Khamenei said in his speech marking Persian Gulf Day.

The supreme leader of Iran added that one of the countries in the Persian Gulf region intends to protect all of these achievements as they defend their land, sea, and air borders.

Persian Gulf Day, which is a holiday in the Islamic Republic of Iran, is commemorated to remember the expulsion of Portuguese colonial forces from the country's southern coast almost four centuries ago.
