JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) stated that all long-distance train (KAJJ) journeys have been operating normally today, after being disrupted due to a collision between a commuter line train and a long-distance train at Bekasi Timur Station, West Java.

"Until today, Thursday (30/4), all long-distance train journeys have operated normally without cancellation," said KAI Corporate Communication Vice President Anne Purba as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, April 30.

He said the service recovery process continues and shows positive progress. KAI continues to ensure that services can run well again while fulfilling customer rights.

KAI also apologized for the inconvenience felt by customers. In the recovery process, Anne also asked for understanding if the journey was still slow.

In line with the field handling process, KAI also conveyed the progress of handling customer baggage that was left behind.

Until April 30, 2026 at 08.30 WIB, a total of 85 items were found. Of these, 38 items have been handed over to the owner, while the other 47 are still in the process of being handed over.

The items found by the evacuation officers on the Commuter Line No. 5568A series have been handed over to the Passenger Service officers at East Bekasi Station to be recorded and secured.

Previously, a collision incident between a commuter line train and a long-distance train occurred at Bekasi Timur Station, Monday (27/4) evening.
