JAKARTA - The condition of the Deputy Coordinator of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS), Andrie Yunus (28), has begun to gradually recover after undergoing intensive care after being a victim of hard water spraying.
"Andrie has undergone a series of surgeries carried out by the team of doctors at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) and thank God, his condition is now improving," said KontraS Coordinator Dimas Bagus Arya as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 28.
Dimas said Andriedi was diagnosed with 20 percent burns on the right side of the body. Then, his right eye was damaged by 40 percent in the cornea.
"As I said at the beginning, Andrie's condition may be gradually recovering," he said.
Dimas, who represented KontraS and Andrie Yunus, expressed his gratitude for the support of many parties who have accompanied the case until now.
"Because friends, we don't have weapons, we don't have a lot of money, we only have one: our solidarity and determination as citizens who help each other," he said.
Previously, the Jakarta Military Court II-08 scheduled the first trial in the alleged persecution case against activist of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS), Andrie Yunus, on Wednesday (29/4).
The first trial will schedule the reading of the indictment against the defendants who are active military members.
